LIAISON Called Frank Slatinshek, 25X1 Chief Counsel, House Armed Services Committee, regarding a call on behalf of Representative Robert Leggett (D., Calif.) who is interested in whether the Soviets are planting sensors off the cost of California In light 25X1 of the fact that on Monday we briefed the Special a committee on Intelligence on this subject, Slatinshek thought it would be reasonable if we referred Mr. Leggett to either Chairman Lucien Nedzi. (D., Mich.) or he (Slatinshek). I told him we would do this. 17. BRIEFING Called Peggy Weeks, of the 25X1 National Security and International Affairs Division of the Congressional Budget Office, to arrange for a visit 'to the Agency by Ms. Weeks, Dov Zackheim, and John E. Koehler, who is the Assistant Director of the Division. They want to discuss international commodities agreements with OER. The briefin is set for 0900 tomorrow morning25X1 This was coordinated with 25X1 18., LEGISLATION Talked to Bill Jones, 25X1 INR, State Department, regarding State's objections to our letter to OMB on H. R. 1311. I told Jones that we had concluded that State's objections had some validity and we agreed that I would pass State's point of view on to George Gilbert at OMB.
