(Unclassified - JMD) Sam 'Vinson, in the office of Representative Edward R. Madigan, called and asked if we conducted tours of the Agency the way the FBI does. I told him we did not, that there really wasn't anything to see. He said he thought that was the case and thanked me. 8. (Unclassified JMD) Called Mildred Ward, Secretary to Senator John Stennis, and asked if the Senator wanted the weekly briefing tomorrow. After checking with the Senator, Ms. Ward called back and said he would not be able to make it tomorrow or next Wednesday. She said she would be in touch with me when the Senator returns from Mississippi and we can set the next briefing. 9. (Unclassified. - JMD) Homer McMurray, House Reporter,. called and said'to please advise that the House Defense Subcommittee of Appropriations is still in session and the secretary in the office said. to hold the'notes of the Director's session. He said he has given the notes to Richard Lopez, of Security, to deliver to the Agency for safekeeping. 10. (Unclassified - RJK) Met with Jane Glass, on the staff of Senator James B. Pearson (R. , Kans. ), and provided her with a copy of the People's Republic of China atlas. She was most grateful for our quick response. 11. (Unclassified - RJK) Met with Martha Tate, on the staff of Senator Sam Nunn (D. , Ga. ), and provided her with a map of Nigeria per her request. 12. (Unclassified - RJK) Met with Tom Saylor, an economist on the staff of the Senate Agriculture and Forestry Committee. Saylor had expressed an interest in finding out what Agency resources in the field of agricultural information might be available to him. As a preliminary step I provided him with a number of Agency publications including the Soviet Agrciulture atlas to illustrate the type of printed material that might be available from time to time. I told him I was looking into the possibility of having someone ;rom the Agency meet with him.
