I I LIAISON CONGRESSIONAL TRAVEL Talked with Dick White, Administrative Assistant to Representative Dale Milford (D., Tex.), and arranged for Carl Duckett, DDS&T, to meet with Milford at 0900 hours, 3 January in the latter's office. The meeting. was requested by Milford to discuss his trip to I I Dick White also provided a 3 revised itinerary of the trip which reduced the time of. Milford's stay in. A cable has been sent to the appropriate stations alerting them of the change. We will send another cable after 3 January meeting to affirm the specific dates of meetings with our COS's. STATINTL 2. LIAISON CONGRESSIONAL TRAVEL Talked with Ed Braswell, Chief Counsel, Senate Armed Services Committee, rho y1 his visit with an Armed Services group to Europe and I -le his itinerary and a request for a 30 or 40 minute chat r- I E_ After coor ina -ion with the appro- priate divisions, a cable was sent approving such contact with Braswell who was provided the names of our Station Chiefs in. those capitals. LIAISON CONGRESSIONAL TRAVEL Talked with Clark McFadden, Counsel, Senate Armed Services Committee, to finalize arrangements for his contact with our Station Chiefs in After coordination, a cable authorizing such contact with McFadden McFadden was given the names of our Station Chiefs in McFadden asked for information which was promised him ear ier by this office concerning the DCI's testimony to the ~enate__S.ic ct ornmittee on Intelligence Operations, Chairman Frank Church (D. , Idaho), McFadden was doing a paper for Senator Robert Taft, Jr. (R. , Ohio) on this subject and needed this materia.l. I told McFadden that I had a memo on Vang Pao for him but he asked that I hold it until he got back from his trip. He also mentioned that he was doing a statement for Senator John Stennis (D. , Miss.) on congressional oversight: of. CIA for use before the Senate Government Operations Committee in mid-January.
