13. (Unclassified - LLM) Delivered to David Keaney, Senate
Foreign Relations Committee staff, a copy of the Danish Straits and Law
of the Sea publication.
14. (Unclassified - LLM) Met with Bill Hogan, House Armed
Services Committee staff, and he promised to raise with Frank Slatinshek,
Chief Counsel of the Committee, our earlier discussion making the'1947
hearing on the CIA Act available through the House Armed Services
Committtee to the Presidential Commission.
15. (Internal Use Only - LLM) Jim Oliver, OMB, called to
discuss a number of matters relating to our intelligence sources and
methods legislation, and I updated him on where we stand. Oliver said
again that we would probably be receiving a request to comment on
S. 1 and would want us to pay particular attention to Section 1124 (Disclosing
Classified Information) as it may affect our proposed legislation.
16. (Internal Use Only - LLM) In response to my earlier call
to J. Sourwine, Chief Counsel, Subcommittee on Internal Security,
T- Q- Mary Dooley, Research Assistant, said she could
find no record of David Markich testifying before any congressional committees.
17. (Unclassified - BAA) Eric Foreman, in the office of Senator
Dale Bumpers (D., Ark.), called and asked if the briefing for the Senator
scheduled for Wednesday could be changed to Tuesday, 3 June at 10:30 a. I.D.
After checking with OCI, the briefer, and I 25X1A
called Foreman and told him Tuesday at 10:30 would be fine.
18. (Unclassified - BAA) Called Julie Marshall, in the office of
Senator Dick Clark (D., Iowa), to confirm Friday, 6 June at 8:00 a. m.
for the Senator's visit to the Headquarters building, She also asked me
if it would be possible for Brady Williamson, the Senator's Legislative
Assistant, to also attend. I told her I would check and be back in touch
with her.
19. (Unclassified - RJK) Talked to Louise Van Dyne, on the staff
of Representative Matthew J. Rinaldo, and per her request for a constituent,
provided her with the name Nicholas L. Deak, who is president of the
Veterans of the OSS, 29 Broadway, New York, New York, 10006.

29. (Unclassified - GLC) Dropped by the office of Ron Tarnmen,
Staff Assistant to Senator William Proxmire (D. , Wis.) to discuss Mr.
Duckett's outline for his briefing of the Proxmire Appropriations Sub-
committee on the Soyuz-Apollo project on Wednesday. (See Memo for the
Record).
30. (Unclassified - GLC) After my talk with Ron Tammen, Staff
Assistant to Senator William Proxmire (D. , Wis.), I called Guy McConnell,
Senate Appropriations Committee staff and discussed with him the question
of Ron Tammen's attendance at our briefing of Senator Proxmire's 25X1A
Appropriations Subcommittee on Wednesday. McConnell said he agreed
with my inclination to Permit him to attend
