14. (Secret - PLC) Delivered to J. Sourwine, Chief Counsel,
bc:ommittee on Internal Security, a brief summary on
prepared by CI Staff. Sourwine said
this would satisfy his request unless we heard anything further.
15. (Confidential - PLC) Sat in on a briefing for Skip Spenceley, 25X1A
House Merchant Marine and Fisheries Subcommittee on Fisheries and
Wildlife Conservation and the Environment staff, given by
OER. The briefing concerned the effect on the Japanese economy if all
their fish imports into the United States are cut off.
16. (Unclassified - PLC) Called Ralph Malvick, OMB, to confirm
with him that we were working on the inflationary impact statement
on the Agency's retirement package but that his questions on this prompted
the Agency to request an exemption from the provisions of OMB Circular
A-107 since any legislation prepared by the Agency would have no direct:
impact on the domestic economy. Malvick said he would be expecting our
letter shortly.

18. (Confidential - FMC) -Received a call from Phyllis Carter,
in the office of Senator Paul Laxalt (R. , Nev. ), who asked for the name,
address and telephone number of the Agency's recruiter nearest: Reno or
Las Vegas, Nevada. After checking with the Office of Personnel, I called
Ms. Carter back and gave her the information for the recruiter in 25X1A
