Nedzi's (D., Mich.), Special Subcommittee on Intelligence, next Monday include the subject of allocation ?f total Soviet resources to their defense effort vis-a-vis the U. Left a copy of the follow-.up material of a briefing on the Middle East with Marian A. Czarnecki, Chief of Staff, of the llou:,e Committee on International Relations. I told him the Director was still planning to attend. Committee staff, called to say they had received the GAO report on Air America,that it was favorable and for us to go ahead. Kogan asked if a portion of the financing of the sale was still going to be handled by the acceptance of a note. I told him my last information was that it, wculd be and he said this was fine since GAO had also approved the arrangement with that provision in it.
