1. I talked with about releasing for the job of 25X1A9a
Special Planning Assistant to the Deputy Director (Support). He is most reluc-
tant to let him go prior to August, but after I explained to him that I could not
keep the job open for-and felt that it might be an important link in his
career development, he said he would try to work it out and promised to let
me know promptly.
2. Larry Houston advised me that the Internal Revenue Service has
promised a ruling on the tax problem in connection with our overseas housing
policy by 6 May.
3. called to say that had called 25X1 5a1
for an appointment with the Director. The Director said that he did not wish
to see Mr. - and asked Miss to tell him to see me. 25 1 A9a
4. I left the office at 1:40 p.m. to meet General Carter at Fort Myer at
