1. Asked Colonel Edwards andl Ito pay particular attention to
transmitting to the Office of Personnel and other supervisors when appropriate
any administrative information obtained during the course of normal security in-
vestigations.
2. Inasmuch as Colonel Baird indicated to me that the security lectures at
the last Orientation Course were not too good, I asked Colonel Edwards to discuss
the matter with him.
4. At the Director's request I have asked Colonel Edwards to study the
ase in connection with our own procedures for reinvestigation.

5. Shef Edwards advised me that Colonel Lane of the Mark Clark Committee
had queried him about the possibility of using and that he had ad-
vised him that while there were no security objections he would suggest that he
talk to me, Lyman Kirkpatrick, or George Carey before placing him on the Committee
inasmuch as he thought there was some question as to his efficiency, acceptabil-
ity, etc. - 25X1
6. I advised that I had approved of the transfer Q Frank
Wisner's chauffeur, to the RI Registry and that Frank would work out an arrange-
ment within his own Office so could act as a messenger and continue to
drive Frank's car. Logistics is to furnish the car but not a chauffeur. 25X1
