5? Dorothy Fosdick, on the staff of the
Permanent Investigating Subcommittee of Senate Government Operations
Committee, called and asked if we could schedule the briefing on Soviet
strategic weapons on Friday. She also said that she and Richard Perle,
who will also be present at the briefing, would be interested in anything
we could tell them on Soviet attempts at camouflage or deception. After
checking with Dave Brandwein, FMSAC, I set the briefing for 3:00 p.m.
Friday in the staff offices.
6. Miss Del Heiney, in Senator William
Scott's (R. , Va. office, called to set 3:30 p. m. on Friday, 16 February,
for our private briefing of Senator Scott to review the points covered in our
last month's session with.the Senate Armed Services Committee at which
Scott was not present. STATOTHR
that Air America had checked and was not involved in the crash,
7. Rita DeCenzo, secretary to
Representative John Rhodes (R. , Ariz.), called concerning a phone
call from a constituent in Phoenix, who is a close relative of
an Air America pilot. The family had heard that an Air
America plane had crashed in Laos over the weekend and they feared
u""as killed. The constituent did not want the family routinely
notified since a member has a very serious heart condition. I explained
the U. S. Government relationship with Air America and referred her to
their offices downtown. I later called her back and she informed me
