(Unclassified - GLC) Called Kempton Jenkins, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Congressional Relations, and checked with him on matters to be discussed at the LIG meeting tomorrow. Jenkins has not received an agenda for the meeting either but said they had made some contributions for the agenda earlier in the week which included discussion of the Foreign Aid bill and the State Department Authorization bill. He said he also expected some discussion of war powers legislation and several items to be brought up by the Defense Department. 2. (Confidential - GLC) At the request of the I met with , and briefed him on our relationships witti the ongress, we nac a goo discussion of the similarities and differences of the legislative bodies in our two countries. Following our talk we had lunch wit and 3. (Confidential - GLC) Called Jim Woolsey, General Counsel, Senate Armed Services Committee, and told him Mr. Colby had said it was not necessary for him (Colby) to be present when Woolsey comes by to look at the NSCIDs and that he could do this any time at his convenience. Woolsey said he might as well get it over with and I arranged for him to come to my office tomorrow morning on his way to work. 4. (Confidential - GLC) Al Tarabochia, on the staff of the Senate Inte_rnal._Security Subcommittee, called and expressed an interest in makin contact with He said he wanted to talk to in connection wi wor tney were of g on subversive activities in Germany.
