Approved For Release 2006/08/09: CIA-RDP75B00380R000300010031-8 v"'h)LIV I AL Journal - Office of Legislative Counsel Thursday - 13 September 1973 Page 3 Committed stall, called and asked if we could be of assistance to their office in handling a technical problem involving one of their three-way combination safes. I have been in touch with the Office of Security and we will take care of this some time next week. 9. Received a call from J. Sourwine, Chief Counsel, dCZT erna ecuri y Subcommittee, who has been talking with 25X1 Al Tarabochia, of the staff, about their access to Sourwine said he felt that an arrangement whereby ? ey would submit their 25X1 questions to~throu h us was not very satisfactory. He is quite insist) on Tarabochia's seeing (assuming that has no objection to this himself). After con erring witl 0. WH Division, told Sour we would get in touch with and raise the question with him and if it was agreeable we would make arrangements for direct contact between 25X1 Tarabochia and him. In discussing their interest in seeing further, Sourwine explained that they were interested in talking with him about someone whom he knew in th when he was there. I gathered from Sourwine's comments that they feel this individual is now engaged in questionable activities in Germany. 25X1 10. Met with David Martin, Senate Internal -.Security Subcommittee staff- vided him with some additional material 25X1 on meetings which has had with foreigners over the years-25X1 Martin is making a compilation o -J1 o activities which he plans to publish in a Committee document. Martin raised some questions about this material which I was unable to answer and I told him I would try to have someone who had prepared this material talk with him directly. 11. I I Angus Thuermer contacted us about a call he received from the office of Representative Richard W. Mallary (R. , Vt. ) asking if someone from the Agency could speak to a group of 30 high school seniors from Mount Anthony High School, Bennington, Vermont, on 24 or 25X1 25 October. After checking wit Office of Training, I told Becky, in Mallary's office, that we could do this and she will come back to us with a suggested date and time.
