Approved For Release 2006/09/06: CIA-RDP75B00380R000300010005-7 CONFIDENTIAL Journal - Office of Legislative Counsel Thursday - 15 November 1973 Page 2 He also mentioned (I assume from information he has gotten from the Armed Services Committee staff) that St. George apparently is getting edgy about his appearance before the Committee on Friday. He has asked about right of counsel and pressed the staff as to what kind of questions will be asked him. 4. I I Called George Murphy, Joint Committee on Atomic Energy stall, and talked with him about my conversation with Jim Woolsey, Senate Armed Services Committee staff, yesterday as it related to the 5 November 1973 letter from Colby to Symington and the personal response of Dick Helms to Symington's inquiry about recent allegations 25X1 that there was a conflict between his testimony and his memorandum of 28 June 1972. I told him that Woolsey had mentioned that on instructions from Senator Symington he had shown these documents to Senator Baker and Murphy. I also mentioned the request that Dave Dorsen, Select Committee on Presidential Campaign Activities staff, had made to for copies of Colby's correspondence to Symington (presumably re erring to t e 6 November 1973 memorandum and the 28 June 1972 Helms memorandum which Symington published). I told Murphy that since he and Senator Baker had seen the earlier letter and the Helms response I felt that the Watergate Committee was on notice of the existence of these documents and could request them if they wished copies.
