Y. ), and informed him that the Agency had no interest in a case of an individual in Czechoslovakia that he had brought to our attention. Schneider understood our position completely, In response to his request, I told him we would provide any information that may be helpful concerning the possibility of exit of a relative of his in East Berlin. 12. (Secret - LLM) Met with Ed Jacobson, in the office of Representative John Dellenback (R. , Oreg. ), and told him we would have material oni for the four interested Members, probably by Monday, 16 April. 14. (Confidential - JGO) Met briefly with Fran Christy, on the staff of Subcommittee No. 1, House Judiciary Committee, and scheduled a meeting for the first of the week with Garner J.. Cline, Counsel for the Committee, to review with him procedures for handling of Agency sponsored legislation. 15. (Confidential - JGO) Met with Herb Roback, Staff Director, Legislation and Military Operations Subcommittee, House Government Operations Committee, and gave him a copy of the short New York Times report of Jack Maury's letter to-Representative Koch concerning the Ford Foundation and training of New York police. Roback told me that he is in the process of writing up a short statement by Chairman Holifield to correct the mistake in the record on this point. Hopefully the Chairman's statement will close this episode of the police training matter. Roback reiterated the fact that the McCloskey resolution pending before the Committee investigation of CIA involvement in foreign political affairs and elections is scheduled for the full Committee meeting Wednesday, 18 April.
