1, I Talked to George Berdes, National Security
Policy and Scientific Developments Subcommittee staff, ouse Foreign
Affairs Committee, and told him that review of our notes, indicates that
the Soviet co -launch technique would have been included in the 24 July
briefing of the Subcommittee. We probably would not have used the
catch phrase "pop-up" in describing the launch system.

3. In response to his call of yesterday afternoon,
I scheduled a meeting for 11:00 a. m. , Thursday, 20 September 1973, for
OCI, and myself with Pat Holt, Senate Foreign Relations
Committee staff, for, briefing on the current situation in Chile.
