David Jones, Defense Map Agency, called to get our advice on the handling of sensitive briefings for members of the Senate Armed Services Committee staff. I told Jones how we handled the Director's presentations and staff briefings. 25X1 2. cott Cohen, on the staff of Senator Charles' 25X1A Percy (R., Ill. ), called about the interest of Mrs. Clover Graham in the 25X1A situation in Sikkim. He said Mrs. Graham had mentioned the name of from the Agency and suggested that Cohen contact him. Cohen realized we probably didn't have too much to add to what has appeared in the newspapers on the situation there, but for the record he would like to 25X1A be able to tell Mrs. Graham that he had talked withi l arranged 25X1A for0 to give Cohen a call this afternoon. 25X1 3? Ed Braswell, Chief Counsel, Senate Armed vices Committee, called. He said he had misplaced the material from the Congressional Record I had gotten for him some weeks ago containing Senator Stennis' statement that he would be willing to have the MASF program returned to the Foreign Relations Committee when it was clear that there was at least a reasonable peace settlement in Southeast Asia. I gave him the reference which was page S. 9281 of the Congressional Record of 13 June 1972. 25X1 4. Major Kaine, Homecoming Information Center, DOD, called. He said General Walters had called General James' office, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs, about a French journalist, Pierre Darcourt from Aurore Magazine, who wanted to talk to some of our returned prisoners. Major Kaine said they would be happy to assist Darcourt but would like to know more details.
