I GLC) Met briefly with Ed Braswell, Senate Armed Services Committee staff, and left with him copies of Volumes I and II of the OSR publication on Soviet Defense Expenditures. There is a chance that an amendment restricting CIA's domestic activities will be offered to the military procurement bill when it comes up for action on the Senate floor and he would like a talking paper from us on this subject for the Chairman's use in the event such an amendment is offered. At his request, met with Jack Ticer, Senate Armed Services Committee staff. He gave me a copy of the page proofs of the Colby confirmation hearings and asked if we would check on several items in the transcript which appeared to be incomplete or required correction. I told him that we would review the transcript, correct these items and have it back to him in the next few days. Approved For Release 2003/09/30: CIA-RDP75B00380R000200VRF19A 1/2003
