16? I I Received a call from Bill Hogan,
House Armed Services Committee staff, advising that Chairman Nedzi,
Intelligence Subcommittee, a sc eduled a Subcommittee meeting on
S. 1494, amending the Central Intelligence Agency Retirement Act of 1964,
for 2:00 p. m. Monday, 16 April. Hogan called again later and said that
as a result of the conversation between the Director and Chairman Hebert,
Hebert had just advised that the Subcommittee hearing has been rescheduled
for 9:30 tomorrow morning. Hogan also said that Schlesinger had
designated Jack Maury as the witness for the Subcommittee hearing. He
also told me that it is contemplated that the Subcommittee will report the
bill if approved to the full Committee tomorrow.
