We have your letter of 29 December 1950 enclosing a
copy of the letter from the President to the Secretary
of State regarding the adjustment of all appropriate
programs of the Government to -prevent the flow to countries
supporting Communist aggression of those materials that
would enhance their ability to carry on such aggression,
and at the same time to assure the sound allocation of
strategic and critcal materials to the free countries
of the world.
The Central Intelligence Agency will be glad to co-
operate with the Department of State in this undertaking,
and will make every effort to provide such assistance and
advice as that Department may request.
