REPORT FROM MIAMI
CHET HUNTLEY: "A Cuban exile group in Miami said
today that five raiders on a mission against Cuba were
captured by the Haitian Navy. The exile group said the
raiders had no connection with. last month.'s reported plan
to invade Haiti.
"The assumption that there might be some confusion
is a reasonable one.

STREITHORST. "Centers of international intrigue come
and go. Dutch, cities were popular during World War I. From
1939 to 145 Nazi, British, and American agents skirmished
in Lisbon and Istanbul. Geneva in neutral Switzerland is a
perennial favorite.
"Now, however, some of the spies have come in from the
cold. Miami, Florida has become one of the world's most
important conspiracy capitals. Here in America's year round
playground, there are, according to a well known revolution-
ary, plots underway against at least six Latin American
Governments.
"As it does the tourists, it's the sunshine that draws
the conspirators. Most of them come from Caribbean, Central
and northern South. America. They like the warm weather, and
they want to be as close as possible to home.
"Tourists and plotters also have in common a taste for
easy air travel, and boating.
"Miami is crossed by numerous canals, and boats bound for
clandestine operation can pull up behind motels, and private
