Espionage Equipment Exhibit
Moscow, Soviet Home Service, Aug. 10, 1960, 0900 0f- -L
What can 'be more harmless than a doll *or a celluloid bear? But
a spy who crocses our frontiers brings Soviet money inside-children's
toys; a walking stick concealing a weapon; a balloon containing a box
for leaflets; and a revolver equipped Vith a silencer. These and many
other objects are now exhibited at the central house of the Soviet Army
in Idoscov. All these articles which had been taken from the violater of
frontiers, writes RED STAR, show bow cunning is the enemy and. of what-he
is capable.
(Text) As already reported by PRAVDA the American intelligence agent V.M.
Slavnov was unmasked and arrested on the territory of our country. One
more snake's-sting: has been rendered 'harmless:
On Aug.?3 PRAVDA'S correspondent was shown at Committee for State Security
the equipment seized from the spy. He was richly provided for by the
masters from Allen Dulles' establishment.' There were portable radio
transmitters with the mark "made in the United States," a bandit's knite,f
a pistol with silencer, and 4 "poisonous" fountain pen. This equipment,
however, did not. help the-spy, nor did the 15-,000-rubles which were in the
pocket of the American agent.
