THOSE INVOLVED IN CIA SECRET FUNDING TELL THEIR OWN STORIES STATINTL IN CBS NEWS SPECIAL, "IN THE PAY OF THE CIA: AN AMERICAN DILEMMA" Implications of Secret Funds to American Way of Life Are Examined; Viewpoints of CIA, Congressmen, Justice Douglas Reported "In the Pay of the CIA: An American Dilemma," a CBS News Spe- cial Report, will be broadcast. Monday, March 13 (10:00-11:00 PMT EST) in color on the CBS Television Network. (NOTE TO EDITORS: The CBS News special, "In the Pay of the CIA: An American Dilemma," will pre-empt regularly scheduled programming on the Network on this date only.) The broadcast will present many of the persons involved in re- cently revealed secret payments by the Central Intelligence Agency, through legitimate foundations, to students, labor, broadcasting and other organizations.. The CIA viewpoint, and those of members of.Con- gress, will also be covered on the broadcast. CBS News Correspondents Martin Agronsky, Hughes Rudd, Marvin Kalb, Roger Mudd and' Mike Wallace, and Ernest Leiser, now executive producer of the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH WALTER CRONKITE, will be the re- porters. "In the Pay of the CIA: An American Dilemma" will interview people who were involved in the CIA payments, and each will be asked to express in his own terms exactly what happened, why he'went along with the payments or why he finally revealed the role of the CIA.
