Widow `Recaafed by Probers
CPYRGHT "'
Marina Oswald, widow of the
Accused assassin of President
Kennedy, testified before the
Warren Commission here yes-
terday about reports she once
locked up her husband to pre-
vent him from killing former'
Vice President Richard Nixon.
The Incident was reported to
have taken. place Nov. 21-the
day before the President was
shot in Dallas-while Mr. Nixon
was visiting there. Allen W.
Dulles, a member of the com-
mission, said: "We have learned.
a great deal about the case
since she was here before.'-"
Asked if ' Mrs. Oswald had
changed her previous testimony,
Mr. Dulles said: "No; there
was no' change., She added
rather than changed."
The Dallas Morning News had
reported that she locked up Lee
Harvey Oswald in April or May
of 1963 after he brandished a
pistol and told her: "I'm going
to see Richard Nixon." Mr.
Nixon was not in Dallas then.
His only visit was on Nov. 20-21.
Sources confirmed yesterday
that Mrs. Oswald was ques-
tioned about the report but
these sources refused to say
whether she confirmed the
story.
Meanwhile, in Dallas it was
learned that Jack Ruby's de-
fense team has lost a psychia-
trist. Dr. William Beavers quit,
saying he ,no longer was neces-
sary. He was hired to develop
evidence showing that the. con-
demned slayer was insane: 011
