THE conclusion-jumping record
must go to Izvestia, the offi-
cial Soviet government newspaper.
That devout defender of 'the Re
faith, complains 'that the America
C al Intelligence Agencyuse

The proof? During the, Benny
`Goodman Band's 1.962, tour. of the
'workers" paradise, a "prominent
Soviet musician"-the paper didn't
identify him-went backstage an
told aGoodman bandsman he didn't
like the way one piece had been
played.
The American, explained, accord=
ing toIzvestia, that four musicians
had been added to the band on the
eve of their, departure and therefore
there hadn't been enough time to
rehearser `- To' the -conspiratorial
