BOB WILSON: "Director of Central Intelligence Agency,
Richard Helms, told the Senate Foreign Relations Committee he
was sorry about that letter -- the one that was critical of
Committee Chairman J.W. Fulbright. It was published in the
St. Louis Globe Democrat.
"The CIA Chief said the letter had been drafted by
one of his assistants and he didn't give it olose enough att-
ention before signing lib."
