Admiral Weaver Dies, ~
Ex-Intelligence Officer
Rear Admiral Paul Leicester
Ford Weaver, USN, retired, 55,
former naval attache and in-
telligence officer with naval
staffs in Europe, died yester-
day in the Naval Hospital, Be-
thesda.
Admiral Weaver was assigned
as deputy director of intelli-
gence at the headquarters of
United States naval forces in
Europe from 1952 to 1953 in
1948 to 1950 as assistant naval
attache in London and in a
similar post in Santiago, Chile,.
from 1945 to 1947.
He was assistant naval at-
tache in Paris from 1937 to
1939 and in 1940 married the
former Georgia Lavery of Paris
aboard the USS Cherokee, a
fleet tug, which he commanded.
Other shipboard assignments:
were on the cruiser Vincennes
