Gifts from Naval Task Force 47 are presented to Mayor Daley by RearAdm. Ephraim
P. Holmes (center). Presents include the official insignia of the Atlantic Fleet's destroyer
force and a canvas of the heavy cruiser USS Macon, painted by Comdr. Gerard Rich-
ardson (right). One by one the ships of Task Force 47 are leaving Chicago's harbor.
Public will be welcome aboard destroyers USS Henley, USS Du Pont and USS Kennedy
