F. Trubee Davison to Join
CIA in Personnel,
The Defense Department an-
nounced last night that Brig. Gen.
F. Tr-ibee Davison, former As-
sistant Secretary of War` for"Air,
will join the Central Intelligence
Agency on July`16.
A spokesman for the CIA con
firmed that Gen. Davison will be-
come "a principal assistant" to
Lt. Gen. Walter Bedell Smith, head
of the agency. He added that
Gen. Davison probably would do
personnel work. He will not re-1
place any other assistant.

Secretary of War. for Air from
926 to 19$2. He has l?een presi-
Ient of the American Museum of
Natural History in New York since
' 1933. In World War I he was
a lieutenant Q. g.) in naval avia-
tion.- In World War II he served
in the Army. During part of the

staff of the Army Air Force. He
