After graduating *ton University in 1938, he studies languages at the University of Geneva. Prior to World War II he was eaoployed as Editor and Personnel Ma eager' for the United e>. Ke entered military service in 1942 and served until a U. S. Ar - Intelligence Officer. After an assignment with CAS in the European Theatre, Br. Kirkpatrick joined the intelligence staff of General Bre ry t a organisation until the end of the war. renai he served -an additional tour in the Washington beadquartors of the CAS. After separation from the military service as a major in . Kirkpatrick resumed his position as an editor of U. S. Report.
