I I Accompanied I SI, and OSI, to the Joint Committee on Atomic Energy office for a briefing on the construction of the naval vessel at Nikolayev and a discussion about the Soviet icebreaker, "Lenin. " This briefing had been requested by Captain Bauser, Committee Staff Director, but at his invitation Representative Melvin Price (D., Ill.) attended and Colonel Seymour Shwiller, of the 5X1 Committee staff, was also present. briefing went very 25X1 smoothly. He answered all questions without difficulty. 25X1 reviewed the history and trials of the "Lenin" to the satisfaction of Mr. Price and the staffers. I took this opportunity to mention to Mr. Price the Cuban missile crisis exhibit at Headquarters and invited him to come out and see it when he returns to Washington after the first of the year.
