Accompanied CI Staff, and Phil Vandivier, State Department, in meeting with Representative Paul Rogers and Robert Maher, of his staff, in response to Rogers' request for follow-up information on a clandestine report on an "arms for opium deal" involving the ChiNats. We explained that despite continuing efforts we had been unable to obtain any confirmation of this report and continued to consider it of dubious5X1A validity.
