6. (Secret - GLC) , FE Division, consulted us about
a request from State Department that we provide Justice Department with
Agency reports on Korean Cultural and Freedom Foundation and Radio of
Free Asia. II had previously discussed this with Mr. 0 of
OGC. I made some suggestions for inclusion in the transmittal note to
Justice and also suggested that this matter be cleared with Mr. Karamessines.
8. (Confidential - JMM) Met with Representative Herman Badillo
and his Administrative Assistant Paul Schasberg regarding some sensitive
material we understood the Congressman had received from a former Agency
employee. See Memo for the Record.
9. (Confidential - JMM) Accompanied CI Staff, and Phil
Vandivier, State Department, in meeting with Representative Paul Rogers
and Robert Maher, of his staff, in response to Rogers' request for follow-up
information on a clandestine report on an "arms for opium deal" involving the

obtain any confirmation of this report and continued to consider it of dubious
validity. However Rogers persisted in his interest and urged that we continue
to seek, confirmation or clarification, which we promised to do.
