John Hammerschmidt (R., Ark.) and informed him of the availa-
bility of this office to handle any problems he may have with the
Agency. I informed him that through the 90th Club I will endeavor
to arrange for small groups of freshmen congressmen to come to
the Agency for breakfast and a briefing on the Agency. Hammerschmidt
was very much interested and said he would be most pleased to partici-
pate in a briefing. He appeared to be very favorable in his attitude

William Roth (R., Del.) and explained our availability should he

fusion in his mind as to the Agency's jurisdiction and I explained
that we are prohibited by law from engaging in internal security
activities. Mr. Roth was pleased that I came by to see him and
asked that I come back again if he could be of any assistance to
