CBS Realigns
Top Management
NEW YORK (DJ) ? Colum-
bia Broadcasting System, Inc.,
has announced a management
.realignment it's believed will,
enable the company to further
expand into non-broadcasting
areas such , as educational and
musical services.
Under the realignment,
Goddard Lieberson, president .of
Columbia Recoids Division of '
CBS, will become president of
the newly created CBS-Colum-
bia group. JOhn A. Schneider,
group vice president broadcast-
will become president of the
CBS broadcasting group.
The CBS-Columbia, group
includes the Records Division,
the company's musical instru-
ment companies, Creative
Playthings, a maker of educa-
tional materbis for schools, and
its direct marketing division.
? The New York Yankees and
? CBS Labs will remain separate
divisions. _
