The 11th Annual Conference of
THE ASIAN PEOPLES'
ANTI-COMMUNIST LEAGUE
which met in Manila, the Philippines,
in September 7-12, 1965
addresses this appeal to the
20th Session of the
United Nations General Assembly
We, representing the peoples of the coun-
tries of Asia and elsewhere, oppose ,the admis-
sion of the Chinese Communist regime to the
United Nations.
? 45::
We believe that th6-4tdmission- of this ag-
gressive regime, would inevitably be regarded
1as placing a.ntimp of approval on the aggres-
sive acts terpetrated by Peiping. Such a move-
would spell disaster for the United Nations
;itself.
The peoplesof Asia are opposed to Chinese
Communifit expansionism. They do not want to
see their precious hard-won freedom and inde-
pendence. subverted by the lawless men in
Peiping, who are dedicated to the goal of world
revolution by force. They know, in each IC
their countries, how the tentacles of licipiog
reach out for conquest. They know, too, .that
in many troubled spots of the world, the Pei-
ping regime is making determined efforts to
? stir up and support so-called "wars of national
liberation."
The Communkt aggression in South Viet-
nam has brought untold misery and suffering
to a land once Serene and free. Today it is
Vietnam: tomorrow it may be any of us. If
you, distinguished delegates to the United
Na-
itions General Assembly, should admit the un-
repentent Chinese Communist regime to your
councils, you would only enhance its prestige
and power in the world community. You would
doom the Asian peoples to Communist enslave-
ment.
The United Nttioo:.; is dedicated to the main-
? tenance of international peace and security
and the upholding of the principles of justice
under law. The Chinese Communist regime,
both in words and in deeds, is a threat to world
peace and security and. contemptuous of law
and justice. o admit such a regime would be
to subvert the letter and violate the spirit of
the Charter. 'To compound this betrayal by ex-
pelling, the Republic ol China?which has faith-
fully fulfilled its 01 at ions under the U. N.
Charter?in cr(ter admit Red China?which
flagrantly vloh-des the Charter?would reduce
the United. Nations .to being an accomplice of
the relpity,;' ponce-breakers. History has made

it crystal clear that appeasement only invites
further aggression. This was the lesson of
Munich, and this was the course the League
of Nations took to oblivion.
The undersigned believe in the purpose and
principles of the United Nations. We are con-
iiinced that unless the forces of lawlessness and
aggression are checked, there can be no durable
peace. We therefore appeal to you, members of
the United Nations, to consider the great dan-
gers inherent in the admission of the Chinese
Communist regime to the United Nations. You
have an awesome responsibility. In your hands
rests the future of Asia and of peace, freedom
and justice in the whole world. We earnestly
ask you to heed our appeal.
