SUBJECT: Storage of OBI Records in the Federal Records Center,
Suitland, Maryland
1. In order to prolong availability of space in the CIA Archives
and Records Center, it is proposed to m mm approximately 18~,*OOO cubic
feet of NIS and map stock into a secure vault area in the new Federal
Records Center now building at Suitlarid, Maryland. This move will begin
after June 1, 1967.
2. The vault space assigned to CIA has been inspected and approved
by the Office of Security.
3. The CIA Archives and Records Center will retain control of and
provide reference service to the records.
