For Release 2006/12/16: CIA-RDP73-004021 p100230002-7 THE WHITE HOUSE WASHINGTON Dear Mr. Dulles: June 7, 1961 I~.:1 s.: y C I i;~a ;; by G~4rrl? Although the Administrative Services Support Agreement between the National Security Council and the Central Intelligence Agency, will end on June 30, it is hoped that you may find it possible to continue arrangements currently in effect for storage at the CIA Records Center of inactive NSC records and certain important national security documents for use by the President and Council in event of a national emergency. These services are of great value to the operation of the NSC staff although they were not specified in the original support agreement. They have been provided on an informal basis by the CIA Records Management Staff in the interests of over-all economy and operating efficiency and it is important that this relationship be continued if at all possible. I should like at this time to commend the generous spirit of coopera- tion and helpfulness which has so characterized relations with all personnel of the Agency who have cooperated with the NSC Staff, includin Chief of the CIA Records Center, and particularly Chief of the Records Management Staff, under whose able and efficient direction these and other records management services have been rendered to the National Security Council. Sincerely, McGeorge Bundy The Honorable Allen W. Dulles Director of Central Intelligence Washington, D. C.
