1. Personnel involved:

2. Business transacted:
Acceptance tests were conducted using the newly-packaged
deployment kits in support of the U-2 flights.
3. Actions completed:
Three separate kits were tested during this period -
5X1 lair-to-ground communications, and Staff Command
communications. After an orientation and familiarization period,
on-the-air tests were conducted. The Staff Command kit was
5X1 employed to contactl land then radio tele-
type - all five-by-five. On Thursday, a U-2C fly-over was made
5X1 1 Ito test out I air-to-ground kits.
Again the results were excellent.
4. Actions outstanding:
a. The air-to-ground system was accepted with the
following exceptions:
(1) The remote control unit is to have a muting
relay added for both HF/UHF.
(2) A background noise is encountered through the
RCU using the dynamic stand microphone. This will be
fixed.

b. In all systems, A/O and Staff Command, the control
heads will be wired in :to light the RF sensing light during
tune-up.
c. The Staff Command receiver/exciter unit, )671U-4A,
temperature rises quite high. Some means of cooking will
be devised. Otherwise, the Staff Command kit was accepted.
