SUBJECT: Contract AF33(657)-12846 - Follow-on EMR Procure-
ment Design Change Notice (DCN) Submittal

letter dated 14 January 1966, subject as above,
was in response to our request that =provide additional luterbay
cables for our program. After thorough analysis with SAC, ADP, the
JTF and the PSO, we decided that these added sets of EMR interbay
cables are operationally essential.
The proposed price is approximately0 for the twenty 25X1
25X1A (20) sets with delivery by=to be made June-September 1966. You
may recall that Phil and I discussed this entire subject briefly with
you at=in late November 1965.

We requestedL___Jo propose these cables as added spares to
the production contract via DCN submittal. This was the quickest
and most effective method. The contractor has done this. The PSO
has already moved out as the SPO requested. All sets of cables will
be shipped to the PSO.
This letter is a matter of confirmation and record to you and
the PSO. Final price of these sets of cables will be a matter of
spares negotiation as you may determine.

They want to rent a Hewitt
Packard Spectrum analyzer under the follow-on EMR contract for a
period of 3 months. The rental cost will be $3,040. The rental
was approved by me and Jim will put this into a memo at a later
date for record purposes. Jim says they expect you up there
the week of 29th and if you want any reservations give him a call.
