The group concurred in this position. 3. American Friends Seminar on Foreign Policy: The Director received a request to meet with a group called the American Friends Seminar on Foreign Policy. We were unable to find out much about this organizati 'ng directly to them. The Director concurred and I arranged for o 25X1A contact them for additional information. He did so and it developed that this is a very loosely organized group and certainly not of the level to meet with Mr. Helms. Their main interests are centered around perations. We will make a report to the Director and suggest that meet with the Sem25X1A inar but advise him in advance that this will be a fair y s err e riefing. 4. T was advised that the com uter run showed that the Office of Logistics had a surplus at the end of FY 66 o nits stock fund. This is quite 25X1A alarming after the extraordinary efforts wc: made to obtain money for this fund which had been depleted during the course of the year. I called George Meloon and advised Iwanted afull -report on this matter. While there is a considerable record concernin that record is offset by actions or inactions of management whit o not permit this record to be taken at full face value for termination of employment.
