1. Renovation of DDCI Suite: I had proposed some renovation of the DDCI suite
which had been approved by Mr. HelmAWW xecutive Director asked that
I hold up on this action and I so notifie the Logistics Services 25X1A
Division.
2. Shower Room in Gymnasium: The Director called me to advise that the
showers in the gym were "filthy" and that he had requested a month ago that this
condition be corrected. I calle nd asked him to take corrective action 25X1A
immediately. It appears that th lean have been using 25X1A
the shower from time to time just before the Director uses it so when they get
through the shower is in rett filthy condition. I aske to make other 25X1A
arrangements for the men to take their showers so as to preclude this
situation from occurring again. It is believed that this can be corrected through
some other arrangements and the shower room will be repaired to make it more
acceptable. This will take place on 12 and 13 September after the necessary
materials have been procured.
3. Resignation of Albert D. Wheelon: Bud Wheelon visited me today to
advise that 23 September will be his last working day with the Agency and that he
is going to work with Hughes Aircraft as its staff technical advisor. He asked if
he could have his check for his unused annual leave on Monday, 19 September.
I advised I would check into this and let him know. (Bob Fuchs later advised me
this will be arranged for Bud.)
