SECRET Approved For Rase 2002/01/25: CIA-RDP72-00341RG100080059-1 DIARY NOTES DD/S 23 August 1966 /4/ as proposed as a replacement for as Contracting Officer for OSA/DD/S&T. A question was raised as tqualifications and I inquired of a number of people who affirmed to me his ig qualifications and ability to handle this position. advised Colonel White of my findings today and he concurred in the assignment to this 25X1A 25X1A position. (George Meloon was advised of this decision.) 3. Director's Automobile: The status of the Director's automobile was raised by Colonel White who wanted to know why it was not ready. I checked with George Meloon and found that there was a slight dispute over the type of aerials to be put on the car for the communications unit. The technicians were going "all out" to the point where the exterior antennae would represent an unacceptable public display. I requested that Meloon see to it that excessive antennae were eliminated but to have an effective communications system installed. I was informed this afternoon that all has been resolved and the car should be available shortly.
