Approved For Rele 2002/05/06: CIA G-ET41 R000 070097-0 DIARY NOTES A-DD/S 27 April 1966 1. Howard Osborn called to report the CBS cameraman taking pictures at Gate #3. He was unsure what to do about it, but felt that George Moran should make an effort to review the film since it contains license numbers, pictures of people, etc. 3 ame in and I discussed his TSD assignment with him and praised him on the work he had done in OSA. Don is an excellent man. He identifies himself with his office of assignment perhaps a little too much, but is aggressive and that's all to the good. 41 25X1 4. ame in to express his concern about the Clandestine Services Career Trainee Selection Board actions and the reported statements that no trainees except those 25X1A from the Clande es should be allowed to take the Operations Course. I aske o prepare a memorandum for the signature of the DD/S to the P commenting on the timing of the Board's actions; pointing up the difficulty of disposing of a disgruntled Career Trainee who thought he was going into the Clandestine Services; about the impact of even25X1A one rejected DD/P Career Trainee on the entire program; and our willingness to accept as much DD/P participation in the selection of Career Trainees as they careg to make d it was done in a manner not to jeopardize the program ill prepare this , tated thaiI the recent rejectee, and the doctor destined fo shop, be enterec5X1A in the Course beginning Monday. I do not see ow we can take any positive action on rumors to the effect tha does not consider thi 5X1A appropriate. So far as I know, the operations Course is open and available to those Support personnel who have need of it. Approved For Release 2002/05/06: Dp, 'I?ROj,0 097-0 ,t \~ G e
