DIARY NOTES
DD/S 11 January 1966
1. The DCI and Dr. Wheelon visited the Foreign Technology
Division at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base for a briefing on the
activities of this Division. The FTD officers suggested to the DCI
that they have a direct secure communications link between their
offices and the Agency. I discussed this with Dr. Wheelon who
advised that Commo should take no action at this time inasmuch as
certain administrative - political - considerations are involved and
the approval of DIA is necessary before we move in this direction.
I so advise irector of Communications, on the above,
but he is to to e no action until further advised.
