(Secret - LLM) Miss Peggy Murphy, Administrative Assistant to Representative Bertram Podell (D. , N. Y. ), called on behalf of a personal friend of the Congressman who wanted to pass information to the Government, presumably while he is temporarily abroad. Based on the fragmentary information known to Miss Murphy and a discussion with DDP, I recommended to Miss Murphy that she get in touch with Mr. William Dyees, on the Czech desk, Department of State, and to contact us again if this did not suffice 25X1A 2. (Secret - JMM) Messrs. Woodruff, Braswell, and Preston of the Agency subcommittee staffs spent the morning at Headquarters where they were briefed by the Director and Chief, FE Division on the situation in Southeast Asia and discussed with other Agency officers the effect of the Fulbright amendment on Agency projects in that area. See Memorandum for the Record. 3. (Internal Use Only - JGO) Al Tarabochia, Senate Internal Security Subcommittee staff, called and asked if we could identify a publication titled "Directory of Personalities of the Cuban Government. Official Organizations and Mass Organizations. " dated June 1970. Mr. Tarabochia indicated that it was his understanding that the book is unclassified. If available they would very much appreciate a copy for private use of the Subcommittee staff. Office of DDI has been advised. 4. (Confidential - JGO) Talked tol DC/WH, who gave me a general defensive briefing on present conditions in Chile for use in briefing Mr. Garner J. Cline, Counsel, House Judiciary.
