1. I talked to who reaffirmed
that is the only CIA contact over
in the White House. As you know, is
Executive Secretary of the 303 Committee; but
he has, on occasion, taken care of some matters
for which were going to the White
House Staff. said that the National
Security Counsel hardly functions anymore and
meets perhaps twice a year. Therefore, -
felt that this was not an effective body. Tom
also suggested that another route would be ~
to Walt Rostow. There
is no DDI contact as such with the White House
except the OCI briefers who deal with the White
House Staff, but this is pretty low level. His
final remark, however, was that in almost every
instance would probably get into the
act as a point of contact with the White House.
