Talked briefly with Darden about the Armed Services Committee
Armed Services and Appropriations Committee, was discussed. Darden
indicated that the action taken was substantially as reported in a WASHINGTON
POST article, that is, that the Armed Services Committee had derived t i
jurisdiction under the provisions of the National Security Act and was n(-.t
disposed to change that arrangement.
