Provided 25X1A 25X1 DD/I, copy No. 2 of 3 of the transcripts of the Director's testimony before the House Committee on Armed Services on Monday, 7 March. Also provided the DCI's briefing notes which were furnished to the Committee Reporter. 2. Talked to Mr. E. Sampayrac, Man- power Office, DOD, who advised that the Department is concurring with no objections to the Agency legislative package. They do comment that one of their agencies, NSA, has employees for whom similar benefits might be desirable and studies are being undertaken in this regard. He also advised that it had cleared their lawyer yesterday afternoon and should be signed within the next day or so. 25X1 3. Delivered to Mr. Robert Michaels, House Appropriations Committee staff, a letter from the STATSPECSTAT Director/PPB, concerning the site selection and cost of 0 STATSPEC Mr. Michaels noted that the Committee schedule was such that it will not be possible for the Sub- 25X1A committee to meet to visit during this week and that, in all probability, will not be able to meet with the Director for the weekly briefing. The Deputy Director has been notified. 25X1A 25X1 4. Delivered to House Armed Services Committee, copy No. 1 of 3 of the, uncorrected transcript of the Director's testimony before the full Committee on March 7.
