Appro, dod For Release 2002/06/14: CIA-RDPt 00185A000100020098-4 27 October 1966 25X1A 1. I hastily showed the Project Officers' Handbook. He is anxious to look at it in more detail, and per- haps use parts of it. I told him that no additional copies were available now, but we might be able to make one available when the Office Directors return theirs with comments. 25X1A 2. If you have no objection, I will pass one of the copies on to Dick. I am sure that one or more will be relatively unmarked. 3. Dick again raised the question of DD/S&T participation with TSD in briefing key DDP operational people on R&D program plans where both TSD and ORD, etc., have a portion of the action. I told Dick that I had mentioned this to you after we had discussed the over-all audio planning approach a couple of weeks ago, and suggested that he obtain your reaction directly since I wasn't sure what you would like to do about this. What ow has in mind, apparently, is a review group or about 3 days Ei:l` in February. The composition of the group would be approximately one-third DDP operational types, one-third TSD, and one-third DD/S&T - primarily ORD. Composite ORD-TSD planning for the next FY would be informally presented for DDP comment. I think this would be very worthwhile if the rivalry level can be kept at a reasonable level. 4. I did not bring up any questions about the review of I I Would you like me to proceed with this? 25X1A 25X1A 25X1A Appro 24r'1elease 2002/06/14: IA-RDP71 B0 185A0pd10000098-4 IQ
