Deputy Director:
1. Discussed the Polygraph briefing which had been given
to the. Director and noted that the Director objected to the
word "optimized" as bureaucratize.
2. Asked that the Director's Conference Room be properly
prepared for presentation aids in connection with tomorrow's
NASA briefing for the Director at 1030.
3. Discussed his session with S&T's members of the most
recent Midcareer Course.
Parangosky:
1. Announced the transfer of OSA's commo slots to O/C as
of 1 July. No change in service was anticipated.
2. Complimented OSI for the memorandum on forecasting
Soviet air defense from 1975-85. He felt this was an important
paper which should be generally circulated in the Directorate.
3. Noted that the Drag Study briefing will be scheduled
next week. The results of the study look promising.

in hiring young engineers.

Chamberlain announced that in line with the change in law
on consultant's pay OSI was raising its rate tol 25X1

In this connection the DD noted that it was not necessary to use

log jam can be avoided.
