Approved For Release-2002/09/05 : CIA-RDPc0T00666R000200110017-4 23 June 1966 MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD SUBJECT: DCI Briefing on Soviet International Commercial Civil Air Operations 1. On 25 May I briefed the DCI on Soviet International Commercial Civil Air Operations. The briefing, which was timed to last ten minutes, was interrupted by frequent questions from Admiral Raborn and took fif- teen minutes. 2. Questions asked by Admiral Raborn included: a. Can an American travel on an Aeroflot international flight? b. How do Aeroflot's international operations compare in size with those of Pan American or TWA? c. Will an American be able to travel from Tokyo to Moscow on the new Aeroflot-Japanese Airlines route? d. Why is Canada interested in an air agreement with the USSR? e. How good is Aeroflot's safety record? 3. All-of the questions were answered in the briefing. No questions were asked after the briefing.
